Reading Journal Week 26 - Pure Emotion - 2016

I am doing a Pure emotions blog post.

Playing Cupid
Jenny Meyerhoff

This book is about a girl named Clara, who matches strangers together. She will go to stores, observe people that have the same interest in things and try to put them together. She is really good at it, so when the school is looking for people to raise money for something. She choose to find  people at her school, that would be interested. They answer some questions and she goes to find their match. Clara doesn't want a boyfriend, because she believes that love always leads to a broken heart. Just like what her mother did to her father. So she doesn't want to end up like them.
It is sad saying no to love because you have lost hope in it. It is not her fault for thinking that love brings broken hearts. She believes this because she has never seen love turn into a different result. It makes me feel sad that some people have lost all hope in love because of a past relationship. They get into this mind set that they are incapable of being loved, and that love is hopeless for them. It also makes a mad when people cheat on their girlfriend/boyfriend or wife/husband, then they say that they still love them. How can you love a person, but you are doing things behind their back? It makes you question if they really loved them. Sometimes they have stopped loving them, so they think it's okay to cheat on them. If you don't love the person anymore than you should tell them how you feel. Cheating on them makes the situation worst.
